Halloween Tip: How to Make a Cannabis Infused Pumpkin Pie
The best way to do this (taste wise, for infusion it doesn’t really matter) is by infusing the crust of your pie. After that, you can follow any pumpkin pie recipe.
Some recipes are based on pre-made pumpkin spice, there are also ‘from scratch’ methods. We’d like you to make your own decisions. So we’ll only explain the crust-infusion part.
𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
1 big cup of white all-purpose flour (125 g.)
¼ cup of shortening or lard
¼ cup of cannabutter (check our blog for a full guide, with and without POT)
Some water
𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿
POT by NOIDS (optional)
Pie pans
Large bowl
Wooden spoon
Table spoon
Rolling pin
Electric mixer
𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲
Follow our blog on how to infuse butter.
Mix the infused butter with the shortening or lard
Gently add flour to this mixture until it's batter.
Knead the batter and slowly add spoons of water until you are happy with the consistency and texture of the crust dough
Flour a clean surface.
Roll the dough until it’s big enough to cover your pie pan.
Set the crust in the pan and cut away any loose ends.
That’s how you infuse a pie crust. This crust is now ready to be filled with some pumpkin filling to your own likings!
